Situated on the edge of Dartmoor, Clematis and Lavender Cottages make the perfect base for exploring all that Devon has to offer. Market towns such as Barnstaple and Bideford with their combination of old world charm and modern shopping centres are ideal places to soak up the atmosphere of Devon.

Winding 180 miles through the North Devon countryside, the Tarka Trail rewards the more adventurous visitor with a view of the "The Land of Two Rivers" that has changed little since Henry Williamson wrote his famous novel Tarka the Otter.

Renowned for some of the finest and cleanest beaches in Europe, including the Blue Flag awarded Woolacombe beach, North Devon makes a family holiday something special. Watersports including windsurfing, surf-skiing and canoeing can all be enjoyed on local beaches just a short drive from your cottage.

Devon's various attractions have delighted visitors for a very long time.
